About the Event
As a very non-techie person, I long resisted on-line teachings. But when we moved to our farm, outside of Seattle, I began dabbling a bit. While it wasn't the same as person to person to community contact, it was filling a need for my curious mind to continue learning.
7 years later, when I was pregnant with my 3rd baby, I decided that before he was born and for 10 months after his birth, I wasn't going to take on any new work in the form of financial energy exchange. I hadn't done this since I was 14 years old!
I was going to fully immerse in my personal practice, motherhood, and the quieting of the mind. After a few months of following the purely instinctual rhythms of mama-baby sweetness, I was tired and really craving retreat, but not yet not in a space I wanted to leave my family for several days. I wanted a group energy field and specific tools and teachings to help me focus, to help me fully drop in when my tired mind didn't have the stamina, and to fill the spiritual tank so I could use my "off" time wisely.
I needed something online. I was still in a very yin, introverted rhythm. I wanted to be able to take baths, and journal, and have food that I was positive would make my body feel good. I wanted to have my family's support without taxing them.
I searched and found a few offerings that were close but not exactly the super nourishing style I was looking for. I took them anyway every couple of months! Mostly, they ended up being online writing retreats and I just carefully crafted my ritual practices around it. And it was lovely. I was surprised at how easily I was able to tap in and feel the spiritual connection I was craving.
I felt so inspired to create something for so many of my beatiful friends who don't have the space to leave their families for a whole weekend, don't have the funds, can't leave work, can't travel this far, are in a more quiet/non-social phase, tend to get over-stimulated with social retreats, etc.
So here we are!
The theme of this online retreat is what I call The Sacred Triad. We'll practice Shamanic Journeying, Meditation, and Visioning. We'll get clear on the intricacies of the 3 practices and how they work on their own and the magic they create when practiced methodically together. We'll have tons of space to journal, to weave in (or get clearer on) life dreams, clarify what is going to be most nourishing and nurturing for our lives and for our dreams in the coming months. And all in your own sweet sacred space.
In the spaces in between, I highly encourage you to move your body, dance, practice yoga, take baths, do a light cleanse, light candles, annoint your body with beautiful oils, create art etc. I'll be sharing a totally optional and modifiable schedule for the time when we are not connected online (which will be 4 hours on Sat and Sun and about 90 minutes on Friday night). If you've practiced with me before, these teachings are timeless so will be super relevant to the present moment.
Registration will open soon. I'm getting some technical help. If you have any questions, or know you want to join me in April, please send me a note.
In the meantime, wishing you many tender hearted moments of deep comfort and grace.
